Make overflow measurable and reachable
Zone goods by movement rate or work order, control heavy loads and maintain an inspection aisle. Compare pallet and rack needs with the usable container dimensions.

Keep docks and airport-area freight moving
Coordinate security, delivery windows, hostlers, parked trailers and fire lanes. Heat-sensitive goods require ventilation or conditioning rather than simple enclosure.
Follow the volume pattern
Rent shipping containers for peaks and construction. Own recurring distribution, manufacturing or fleet storage with maintained access and condition.
Make reserve inventory visible to the warehouse team
Ontario distributors should designate outside stock as an actual inventory location. Keep receipt dates, identify reserved material and separate damaged returns from saleable goods. Durable low-turn stock may be a better candidate than items requiring constant picking through a busy yard. Compare shelving or pallet arrangements with the working dimensions, leaving inspection and retrieval room. The benefit is released indoor capacity without creating a forgotten reserve pile that the ordering team cannot count or locate.
Review the pad during a normal freight shift
A corner that appears empty before receiving opens may become a trailer queue later. Consult operations and security staff, preserving dock capacity, fire access and the removal line. Container leasing can follow a demand peak or facility project. Purchasing fits repeat reserve storage with approved placement and maintenance ownership. Describe temperature-sensitive contents before ordering, since ordinary dry secure storage is not the same as conditioned space. Photograph the final approach and proposed door orientation with surrounding traffic lanes visible.
