Passive ventilation
High and low vents can encourage natural air movement when they are correctly placed and protected from rain and pests. Security and wind-driven weather still need attention.
Powered ventilation
Fans can move more air, but they need safe power, controls and a planned source of replacement air. Exhaust alone cannot overcome a sealed box.
Sensitive contents need monitoring
When products have defined temperature or humidity limits, ventilation may not be enough. Combine it with insulation or HVAC based on the actual specification.
Ventilation should be considered alongside condensation control and insulation, not selected in isolation.
- Moisture and heat source
- Intake and exhaust location
- Weather and pest protection
- Power and controls when fans are used
