Walk the complete truck path
Measure gates, drive width, turning radius and the straight run into the placement point. Check branches, power lines, roof edges, signs and slopes—not just the final rectangle.
Surface conditions matter
Heavy delivery equipment can sink into soft soil or damage weak pavement. Discuss recent rain, compacted access, weight restrictions and who makes the call if conditions are unsafe.
Mark the door direction
Tell the dispatcher which end must face the work area. Door orientation affects how the container is loaded on the trailer and avoids an unnecessary on-site reversal.
Match the route to the shipping container footprint, then use the location guidance to account for regional site conditions.
